Independent Land Rover parts wholesaler now processes around £300,000 of orders per day through its trade portal

Origin Software Solutions - an MAM Software company - is delighted to announce that independent wholesaler of parts and accessories for Land Rover vehicles Britpart is now processing 70% of orders via its B2B trade portal.

The company serves more than 1,000 customers worldwide and estimates it now processes around £300,000 of orders per day through the portal, enabling the business to handle higher volumes than ever before.

The bespoke solution integrates with Britpart's Kerridge management system to provide its trade customers with a unique parts catalogue and ordering experience. It enables users to identify products, check live pricing and availability, and place orders directly into Britpart's Kerridge software for processing.

Britpart's head of IT Darren Pike explained that the B2B ecommerce solution is playing a critical role as the business continues to expand.

"We have only received positive feedback from our customers and the integration with Kerridge has been great," said Darren.

"The portal has had a massive impact on our customers. It has replaced emails, calls and even faxes, giving them a more user-friendly means of placing their orders."

Customers are not the only ones who have benefited from the Origin trade portal, as the solution has also helped free up time across the business.

"It has been a real revelation for our sales department." Darren explained.

"The hours that sales staff would usually have spent processing sales are now used to look at orders as they come through before they are passed through to a verification stage, adding an extra layer of quality control."

"Working with Origin has been absolutely fantastic," Darren added.

Giles Greenslade, managing director at Origin Software Solutions, commented: "Offering ecommerce opens up a wide range of opportunities for businesses, as Britpart's success has shown.

"Even trade customers have increasingly come to expect the option of buying online, so parts and accessories wholesalers can capitalise on this by investing in a B2B website.

"The portal we developed for Britpart demonstrates our expertise in developing solutions that integrate with back-end systems to deliver significant operational benefits. While Origin solutions are usually associated with MAM applications, we can in fact provide connectivity with most common business management platforms."
