Invoice management from an innovative perspective: Rick Charnock Components’ success with AutoGNRi
At MAM Software, we take pride in offering innovative solutions that streamline business operations, allowing customers to achieve their goals efficiently. One example of this can be seen through our partnership with leading car parts supplier Rick Charnock Components Ltd, whose journey with Autopart, and more recently Autopart integration AutoGRNi, has transformed their invoice management process, increasing overall efficiencies whilst they continue their path of growth and success.
Rick Charnock Components Ltd (RCHS) has been a cornerstone in the automotive parts industry since 1972, operating in the North West and gaining a trusted reputability in the region. The company takes pride in its ability to serve customers diligently and promptly (paramount in an ever-growing and ever-competitive automotive parts industry). In the midst of their operations lies the routine yet crucial task of managing supplier invoices efficiently.
The business has utilised Autopart for a number of years to streamline various aspects of their business operations. This integrated software solution, designed specifically for automotive parts distributors and retailers, offers features such as inventory management, sales processing, purchasing and accounting.
As RCHS’s needs evolved and the demand for more efficient invoice management grew, they sought something that would optimise processes one step further whilst expediting their invoicing system and enhancing Autopart’s capabilities from end to end. This is where AutoGRNi comes in.
“We needed to be able to keep on track of demand as we get busier, which we have done over the last twelve months. AutoGRNi takes away the time spent inputting our invoices manually,” Account Manager Mireille Charnock advised.
Whilst Autopart caters to various aspects of automotive part management, AutoGNRI automates and accelerates invoice processes. It streamlines invoice management to improve supply chain efficiency, ensuring compliance, cutting costs and unlocking insights from invoice data.
Like many of their competitors, RCHS have had to accommodate and strategise innovative ideas towards the evolving industry. Mireille reflects on this, stating, "In terms of our own growth and expansion, it’s ongoing and it doesn’t stop. People are keeping their cars for longer and not a lot of people can afford to switch to electric vehicles so we’re extremely busy and we need to be able to keep up with demand."
"Now, the job takes half the time. We use it daily and need it to be able to get on with things - we’re getting invoices through it constantly and they’re already matched which saves us a lot of time in our operations," she explains.
The software works by automating invoice matching, using advanced algorithms to compare incoming invoices with purchase orders and delivery notes. It identifies matches, discrepancies and exceptions, reducing manual input time. Mireille further elaborates on the reduction of time spent on this area now, stating, "Overall the process of checking the prices is so much more efficient than it used to be. It’s a reliable system to be using in my opinion and it’s been smooth-running for us. When we think of our own future growth, we envision AutoGNRi as a part of that."
The business values their partnership with MAM Software and appreciates the support they’ve received, as expressed by Mireille: "We're now interested in getting to learn a bit more in terms of the programme’s potential so that will be our next step."
At MAM Software, we remain determined in our commitment to assist businesses like RCHS to thrive and reach new levels of achievement and excellence through solutions such as AutoGNRi.
