The Autowork Online accounting update will allow detailed exports of sales and purchase invoices to Xero
Users of MAM Software's popular garage management software will soon benefit from Xero compatibility. The accounting update, which will follow shortly after the upcoming spring release of Autowork Online, will enable ledger data to be exported to a Xero accounts package.
The update means users can choose Xero, Sage or Autowork Online's built-in functionality to maintain their ledgers. Full VAT information is included within each package, which makes it possible to submit VAT returns via Making Tax Digital regardless of which accounting platform is in place.
This functionality will make it easier for garages to streamline their accounting tasks. The export utilises the same tried and tested process as Sage, by adopting a routine that enables detailed sales and purchase invoices to be exported directly into Xero.
Improved support for cash customers and the ability to set default payment terms to calculate due dates will also be possible following the Autowork Online update.
A number of new features are being rolled out in the spring release of the garage management software, including a new MOT history lookup service and enhanced returns functionality.
The document screen has also been updated to include more layout customisation options and improved performance. MAM has also improved security with a new login screen and password maintenance functionality.

"This gives Autowork Online users more choice and flexibility when it comes to their accounting, while also ensuring compliance with Making Tax Digital."
