MAM Software helps supplier assure customers of accurate product data in Autocat
MAM Software is pleased to announce that Capricorn Car Parts Ltd has now successfully updated its product data from V7 to V8 in Autocat, the UK’s leading web-driven vehicle parts catalogue. Moving from V7 to V8 format significantly improves the product data and allows products to become available to over 11,000 Autocat users in the UK.
Capricorn Car Parts Ltd, are the appointed UK distributor/agent of Facet s.r.l. the leading Italian Original Equipment Manufacturer of ignition & engine management components. The company prides itself on the quality of its products and customer service. It is therefore essential for the business to have an efficient method of letting its customers know about its products.
“Keeping our customers informed is vital to the success of our business” said Richard Walkden, Director at Capricorn Car Parts “Autocat allows us to reach customers with parts instantly on a national scale. Our Facet catalogue data is already published in TecDoc and thanks to the agreement between MAM and TecAlliance, we have been able to utilise their catalogue data conversion service for the extraction, mapping, quality checking and publication of our data in Autocat. This enables us to keep our product data accurate and up-to-date, which is something we are committed to.”
The company has opted for the quarterly catalogue data conversion service so now every three months MAM will receive an updated Facet catalogue file from TecAlliance which will be processed and any changes or additions published in Autocat.
This service is proving popular with a growing number of OE and aftermarket parts suppliers and is available as a monthly or quarterly bi-directional (TecDoc to Autocat or vice versa) option.
Developed by MAM Software, Autocat is the UK’s most comprehensive online catalogue for the automotive aftermarket. It helps businesses to increase sales through direct online trade to customers. With intuitive drop-down menus and VRM (vehicle registration) lookup, customers are able to easily search for and purchase Capricorn’s products.
“Autocat is already the most comprehensive parts catalogue in the UK and its usage is consistently increasing with time. This means that Capricorn Car Parts can reach more customers than ever before,” said MAM Software’s Nigel Clemett. “Our catalogue data conversion services help suppliers like Capricorn Car Parts to ensure their Autocat data is of a high quality, which gives their customers greater confidence that the products they are supplying will be correct first time.”
